Based on the current piano market and your description I would value your 1975 Kimball upright at approximately $550-$650 in a private sale depending on your local market. For the age of your piano there should be no issues with soundboard as those may only creep up on very very old pianos. Kimball pianos were of moderate quality and the lower pricing does reflect that. After about 1940 there were a lot of small pianos built which were inferior in regards XXXXX XXXXX but yours is right inline with a standard sized upright. I'm not sure why your friend called it a "concert piano". At 48" this piano is considered a full upright, but is short of an upright grand (usually 52" or more). Your piano comes from 1975 based on the serial number you provided. ![]()
